SANTA BARBARA
Santa Barbara County is able to grow premiere Chardonnay grapes becuase of its close proximity to the Pacific Ocean. While the surrounding climate of Southern California is almost tropical, constant fog near the ocean creates a cool, cloudy environment that is perfect for creating a full flavored, fruit foward Chardonnay. The combination of good draining soil and plentiful sunshine results in a scenario similar to that of the Burgundy region in France, well known for it's magnificent Chardonnays.
The Tangley Oaks Chardonnay is a refreshing wine with just a small amount of oak that pairs wonderfully with food.
